Emma worked at Mills & Boon, the Sunday Times and for a publishing agent before spending thirteen years at Little, Brown, where she became Associate Publisher at Piatkus fiction and published many bestselling authors. She now works as Editorial Director at Boldwood Books, publishing a wide range of adult commercial fiction.
Alongside Emma’s career as an editor, she’s fulfilled her lifetime ambition of becoming a children’s writer, with 8 children’s books published by Oneworld and another on the way.
One of Emma’s favourite things about being a children’s author is the time she gets to spend in schools, taking assemblies and workshops on creative writing and hopefully inspiring a whole new generation of book lovers.
Emma lives in Twickenham with husband and two children (who finally convinced her to give writing a go), her loopy ragdoll cat and mischievous cavapoo dog.
