Involved with Victorian Water-colours and general antiques for many years, he decided to put some of his wide knowledge of these fields into book form. He published ANTIQUES FOR ALL and two volumes on Victorian Water-colours, one featuring VICTORIAN CHILDREN and the other, VICTORIAN RURAL LIFE. NINETEENTH CENTURY MARITIME WATERCOLOURS was published in by David & Charles, followed by TRADITIONAL BRITISH PAINTERS 1889/1989 and A COMPANION TO VICTORIAN & EDWARDIAN ARTISTS.
Wearing another literary hat, Adrian Vincent was a respected novelist, and also published compilations of true crime stories. Little, Brown published his FATAL PASSIONS and A GALLERY OF POISONERS and Headline, KILLERS IN UNIFORM. Long out of print these were recently reissued by Lume, while his prisoner of war memoir, THE LONG ROAD HOME was published by Sapere. Translation rights are available in all titles.
